Christi Wickliffe-Bessinger, Manager - Advertising & Marketing
Born in Greenville, SC, Christi moved to the Grand Strand at age two and has lived in the area off and on ever since, having spent some years in her maternal family’s hometown of Hampton, SC and in Charleston, SC. A graduate of the College of Charleston, she received a BA in communication and has worked in the public relations and marketing fields in the Grand Strand market for more than 12 years.
She and her husband John reside in Surfside Beach with their two children, Michaela and Rivers, as well as their two dogs, Santee and Honey and cat, Bowie. Christi is a well-seasoned “soccer mom” and was recently elected to the St. James High Sharks Booster Club board of directors. She can be found cheering on both the St. James Lady Sharks and Coast FA’s girls “Crush” travel soccer teams. She and her family enjoy annual trips to the Florida Keys and boating in the Inlet and on the Intracoastal Waterway.
A lover of live music and music in general (especially 80s), she enjoys going to concerts with friends and family any chance she gets and has been a dedicated Duran Duran fan for more than 30 years.
Having spent most of her life living along the South Strand, Christi thoroughly enjoys marketing the area to vacationers and potential new residents alike. She says, “I love the fact that people want to vacation or even move to my backyard—I think that’s pretty awesome!”
